Staten Island /ˌstætən ˈaɪlənd/ is one of the five boroughs (counties) of New York City, in the state of New York, in the United States. In the southwest of the city, Staten Island is the southernmost part of both the city and state of New York, with Conference House Park at the southern tip of the island and the state. The borough is separated from New Jersey by the Arthur Kill and the Kill Van Kull, and from the rest of New York by New York Bay. With a 2014 Census-estimated population of 473,279, Staten Island is the least populated of the boroughs but is the third-largest in area at 58 sq mi (150 km2). The borough is coextensive with Richmond County, and until 1975 was officially the Borough of Richmond. Its flag was later changed to reflect this, though the official seal remains unchanged. Staten Island has been sometimes called "the forgotten borough" by inhabitants who feel neglected by the city government.
The North Shore — especially the neighborhoods of St. George, Tompkinsville, Clifton, and Stapleton — is the most urban part of the island; it contains the officially designated St. George Historic District and the St. Paul’s Avenue-Stapleton Heights Historic District, which feature large Victorian houses. The East Shore is home to the 2.5-mile (4 km) F.D.R. Boardwalk, the fourth-longest in the world. The South Shore, site of the 17th-century Dutch and French Huguenot settlement of developed rapidly beginning in the 1960s and 1970s; it is mostly suburban in character. The West Shore is the least populated and most industrial part of the island.

HOT NIGGA REMIX - General Goose ft Holy shot by Wayuptheblock Follow @Smoothboypop x @They_Call_Me_Holy
Graham Flowers, Stuart Wade, Simon Greenaway Down To The Bone origins begin at the end of 1995, with Stuart Wade as producer, writer and the creative mind behind the project. The project name came about as a result of taking a track "Joy Is Free" from the soul band he was in at the time, Think Twice and remixing it, creating the Down To The Bone remix and from a London club called 'To The Bone', run by DJ’s playing funky grooves. Teaming up with Think Twice keyboard player, Simon Greenaway, they released their 1st 12” "Staten Island Groove." on Internal Bass Records, a label Wade set up with another member of Think Twice, Chris Morgans. The single resulted in rave reviews and lots of club and radio play in the U.K. and was a huge success.

We sailed our ship down the Hudson River
To the wild Atlantic we said farewell
On Staten Island when we landed
There we had our tale to tell
We're the poor, the huddled masses
We have crossed the lonely sea
Left the Old World for the New World
Left the old ways to be free
We left our homes in forty-seven
Turned our backs against the wind
From our ships of creakin' timber
We bid farewell to a famished land
We're the poor, the huddled masses
We have crossed the lonely sea
Left the Old World for the New World
Left the old ways to be free
With heavy hearts we left behind us
Memories of better days
Old men talkin', laughin'
As we danced the night away
We're the poor, the huddled masses
We have crossed the lonely sea
Left the Old World for the New World
Left the old ways to be free
Still we hear their voices calling
On the wind we hear their sound
Friends and loved ones, old and young ones
Lie beneath the fallen mound
We're the poor, the huddled masses
We have crossed the lonely sea
Left the Old World for the New World
Left the old ways to be free
Now those years are far behind us
Now our spirits have grown strong
In this land that gave us freedom
And the will to carry on
We're the poor, the huddled masses
We have crossed the lonely sea
Left the Old World for the New World
Left the old ways to be free
We're the poor, the huddled masses
We have crossed the lonely sea
Left the Old World for the New World
